Whether it's a non-stop activity holiday or a relaxing, peaceful break, the village of Obertraun, set amongst the majestic Dachstein Mountains and crystal clear waters of Lake Hallstatt is sure to leave a lasting impression, and with Hallstatt only a few minutes away is an ideal base to explore from.

Haus Hepi is a newly refurbished, quaint, Bed & Breakfast property. The house is located in an elevated position on the edge of the Sarstein forest and only a few minutes walk from the village centre and Lake Hallstatt. The comfortable guest rooms now include en-suite bathrooms, traditional pine furniture, Sat TV and most have south-facing balconies complete with a panoramic view of the spectacular Dachstein Mountain Range.

Obertraun, UNESCO World Heritage area is located in the heart of the Salzkammergut on the shores of Lake Hallstatt, only 4km from the famous village of Hallstatt. Obertraun is a tranquil, unspoiled holiday destination, ideal for families to tour the cultural local area by car or explore on foot the many enchanting paths leading along the lake, rivers and mountains. Obertraun is also an adventure sport paradise offering sports enthusiast's activities spanning the four seasons throughout the year, ranging from, Ski-Touring to Husky Mushing in winter and Rock Climbing to Paragliding in summer.

Obertraun boasts its own Freeride Arena, Dachstein - Krippenstein, recently voted the best European Freeride destination in International magazine, 'Planet Snow'. Skiers and Boarders of all capabilities can choose to experience the thrill of off-piste on the marked but unpisted routes or one of the longest pistes in Austria of 11km. The Krippenstein cablecar is a 5 minute car/bus journey from Haus Hepi. The nearby Dachstein-West ski area covers 140km of pistes and can be reached in 20 minutes by car.
