Alpenhotel Ammerwald has an enchanting location up here in the mountains with their unspoilt beauty and relaxing tranquility. The hotel is situated between Schloss Linderhof (Linderhof Castle) and beautiful Plansee (Lake Plan).

Located approx. 18 kilometres from Reutte, our hotel lies 1100 metres above sea level, surrounded by extensive woods, in the middle of the fantastic Ammer Mountains.

We will do everything in our power to ensure that you feel at home in the cosy atmosphere of our hotel and that you enjoy the beautiful scenery in all its facets. Our hotel is an ideal place to quietly recover from the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Our hotel contains modern rooms for conferences and events accommodating up to 140 persons, a hotel bar with 2 skittle alleys, an indoor swimming pool (8 x 16 metres) heated to a pleasant 29°C and a solarium. A wide range of massages are also available. Our original Finnish sauna, a large sunbathing lawn, a children's playground, a fun court and a delightful sun terrace in the inner courtyard of the hotel round off our facilities.

The hotel is the starting-point for wonderful mountain hikes and cycle or motorcycle tours and horse-riding excursions in the vicinity of the beautiful Plansee (Lake Plan), the second largest lake in Tyrol.

In winter we prepare our own 10-kilometre-long cross-country ski trail for guests. The ski areas in Reutte/Tyrol or in Oberammergau are only around 20 minutes away by car.

Our restaurant is well-known outside Austria for its superb game and fish dishes. We will also prepare for you regional and Austrian delicacies, as well as international specialties. The in-house patisserie will spoil you with typical sweets and a large selection of delicious desserts. Our renowned good food and the informal atmosphere will turn any occasion into a great success.
