• Housed in an archaic building situated in eastern Schallmoos, at the foot of Kapuzinerberg, the Drei Kreuz is surrounded by a hilly area filled with cheap restaurants and bland structures. So, eat your heart out, but don?t expect to enjoy the scenery.
  
  The best word to describe Drei Kruz's 24 rooms is retro, and not in the trendy way ? it's more like you?re staying at a well-preserved '70s roadside motel. Ugly carpets, ill-patterned furniture, Formica surfaces (Formica!), and electric candle lights are what make up a majority of the d?cor. Triples have one double bed in the main quarters and a second, twin bed either tucked away in a cubby-hole-like room or placed in the foyer.
  
  There are some perks though. Kids get reduced rates. There's satellite TV. And, the Drei Kreuz is also a good option for those traveling by car, as Vogelweiderstrasse runs right into the autobahn, and hotel parking is free. Two of the rooms have kitchenettes but you have to request ahead.

The name (Three Crosses) refers to the three crosses at the Kapuzinerberg nearby, which was a place of execution in Salzburg centuries ago.

All hotel rooms are equipped with bathrooms with tub or shower, hair dryer, telephone, TV (including CNN ) and radio.

Experience the old world atmosphere in our restaurant with its rustic furniture. We provide a big buffet breakfast each morning for our guests.

The ideal location of the hotel means that it is a good starting point for excursions to the lakes of the Salzkammergut which are only a few kilometers away or the world-famous skiing centres of the Salzburg countryside.

The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from the city centre and train station and a public bus goes from close to the hotel into the city centre every 10 minutes. ( Bus Nr. 4)

Hotel facilities include an internet corner in the reception area and free off street parking.
