The U Melounu Hostel is a quality, secure, clean, and affordable hostel in Prague's New Town, near Charles University and within a fifteen minute walk of the major sights.

It's a peaceful hostel with a nice patio/garden area out back, complete with a grill so you can BBQ kielbasa to your heart's content. There is 24 hour reception available for all your needs (within reason, of course) and the staff is very helpful. And by the way, "Melounu" means "watermelon" in Czech, so you can just call this hostel the "U Melon" for convenience, unless you're a Czech scholar.
