Welcome to Nyhavn boat hostel, Copenhagens's latest accommodation with a difference where you can experience the absolut best location in Copenhagen city 'Nyhavn'

This beautiful boat gives our guests the chance not just to see Copenhagen's history but also to sleep in it! The restoration has added all modern facilities without spoiling the boats's character and guests can be assured by our conscientious staff and commitment to the highest standards.

Our mission is to provide comfortable, secure, clean and spacious accommodation to the budget traveler. Don't just see Copenhagens's history; live in it for a while!

In the saloon on deck we can house 30 guests for a magnificent banquet. But it is also
perfect for lunch for say 10 persons for herring, snaps and warm courses, spiced with
stories from the Seven Seas. Our large and beautiful lounge is a great place to meet new friends - or have a drink and a snack in the bar- lounge and bar are equipped with large flat screen TV.

Please Note that the boat is closed between 11-15

Below deck we have proper hotel comfort for up to 22 persons in 9 cabins with hot/cold water. Besides several spacious bathrooms/toilets.

Nyhavn boat hostel was originally built in 1918 s a lightship by the boat builder Rasmus Møller in Faaborg on Funen. The ship represents Danish ship builder tradition beautifully.

Efficient heating ensures that the weather is never a problem on board.

The boat is closed between 10-16.Check out is 10 am with breakfast 8.00am to 9:30 am.

Please note that we do not currently have self catering facilities. Snacks are available in the Bar whilst there are many, many restaurants within a short walk!

You have to rent linned for DKK 60,- pr person.

Directions to Nyhavn Boat Hostel and parking rules

From Copenhagen airport
A taxi to/from the airport is approx. dkk. 150,00. The distance is about. 8,5 km and the trip normally takes about. 15 minutes. Ask the driver to take the coastral road (Amager Strandvej), which is faster and less expensive than the (new) highway.

When you exit customs at Kastrup Airport, continue straight ahead and you will see the DSB-office which sells train tickets below the clock.

- Train from Kastrup Airport to Ørestad (the train leaves every 10 minute.) Travel time: 10 min
- Metro from Ørestad to Kongens Nytorv (The metro leaves every 2 minute) Travel time: 11 min
- Walk from Kongens Nytorv to Nyhavn (You have to walk to the end) Travel time: 2 min
