  • Despite the slight lack of decor, the 62-room Arriva Hotel gives guests more space at lower prices than many of the smaller London lodges, and the amenities are plentiful.

Housed in a row house that dates back to about 1875, the Arriva (which dates back to only about 2002) is situated on a quiet street near Argyle Square and the British Library.

It's clearly been well-kept. It's bright and clean, and the hotel has an elevator - a rare, but very nice surprise in older London hotels.

The rooms range from singles to quads all of which have refrigerators, and some have kitchenettes. Furnishings give a lake-side bungalow vibe with metal framed beds and balsa wood cabinets. The Arriva also rents out apartment spaces.
