  • Rooms and beds were good.
    Showers were good.
    Everything was clean enough.
    But on one toilet the seat was always falling down when you were standing and ...
    And on the toilet in the bar the seat wasn't even attached to the toilet!
    And some soap dispensers in the toilets and washrooms would be good!
    Breakfast was ok with good music in the bar at morning!

Property Description

The Dover Castle Hostel, Bar and Flatshares is located in the centre of London, very close to London Bridge and Waterloo International Train Stations. We are within walking distance of Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and St. Paul's Cathedral and the River Thames.

We are a friendly privately owned hostel. We also have flat and house shares in zones 1 and 2 for longer term guests(staying 4 weeks plus).

The Hostel is clean, secure and friendly. Facilities include a 24 hour reception, a fully equipped kitchen, a TV lounge with cable tv and popular downstairs bar. The bar has a pool table and live DJs play at the weekends. Hostel guests can get £1 beers and other drink offers. We provide lockers, a free luggage lock-up room, towels and a cheap same day laundry service. We have FREE WIFI and broadband internet and e-mail access is also provided

The rooms in our flatshares are fully furnished and provide single rooms from £80 per week and twin rooms from £65 per week per person. Priority for the flatshares is given to existing Dover Castle Hostel guests and our staff will arrange a free viewing of available rooms for interested guests during their hostel stay . Our international staff will also help guests find their way around London, find jobs or get on free nightclub guest lists!

Guests at the Hostel can also take advantage of our cheaper weekly hostel and seasonal rates and extend their stay (sometimes for months!).

For a fun, lively and great value place to stay and party in Central London you can't beat the Dover Castle Hostel.

We are also a member of the London Tourist Board.

Please note: We are a backpackers hostel and cater specifically for 18 to 35 year olds.

Directions

We are 1 min away from Borough Tube Station on the Northern Underground Line (the black line). This station is one station south of London Bridge.

Upon exiting Borough Tube Station, cross directly over the junction to Great Dover Street. We are located 1 min down the road on the right hand side.

If traveling from Waterloo international train station or Paddington train station, take the Bakerloo underground line south to Elephant and Castle and then change onto the Northern Lind and travel 1 stop north to Borough.

From Heathrow airport, take the Picadily Line East to Picadily Circus and then take the Bakerloo line south to Elephant and Castle and then the Northern line north one stop to Borough.

From Gatwick Airport, take the train to London Bridge and then take the Northern Line on the underground one stop south to Borough.
