Hartley Hotel is a recently refurbished 50 room hotel in Forest Gate. It is very close to Stratford, the new Olympics Site and 5 minute walk from the infamous area known as Green Street (immortalised by the recent movie of the same name)-famous for its curries, colourful sarees and traditional Indian beauty salons.

There is easy access from Heathrow, Stansted and London City A to our hotel. We are located in East London, just 10 minutes from the Stratford and Upton Park London Underground. We are perfect for backpackers who can use us as their base for exploring London by day and night. We offer clean and comfortable accommodation at affordable rates.

Bus routes- 58, 330, 25, 86.

From London Heathrow Airport: take the Eastbound Piccadilly line to Holborn and then change to Eastbound Central Line Train to Stratford. From Stratford, take a 25 or 86 bus from the bus station taking you straight to Hartley Hotel (ask bus driver to inform you when you reach the junction between Romford Road and Green Street which also has Forest Gate Police Station on the corner, Hartley Hotel is just opposite).

Alternatively, take Piccadilly Line to Gloucester Rd and then Eastbound District Line to Upton Park-turn right from the station, opposite Upton Park Market, catch bus number 58 or 330, 4 stops will take you to the junction between Green Street and Romford Road, get off at the stop and hotel should be just to the left. Or walk for 10 minutes after turning left from the station to the end of Green Street.


From Stansted Airport: Stansted Express to London Liverpool Street (National Rail), with trains departing every 15 minutes with an average journey time of 45 minutes. From Liverpool Street go to London Underground Central Line and take Eastbound train to Stratford and follow directions as above.
