(1) FROM NEWCASTLE AIRPORT
It is cheap and easy to take the Metro to 'Gateshead' station. The ticket costs around £2.70. The train journey is approximately 25 minutes with a 3 minute (350m) walk.
At 'Gateshead' metro station go up the stairs or escalator and turn right. IMPORTANT! Leave the station by the exit signposted 'Bensham Road'. At the top of the stairs turn right. THE CHURCH SHOULD BE ON YOUR LEFT AND THE BUS STATION ON YOUR RIGHT. Walk 150m up the hill to a pedestrian crossing. Cross the road and go straight ahead for 30m and then enter the park on your right, by a statue. On the far side of the park (150m) you can see some houses. This street is 'Village Heights'. 'City View' is the first house on the right side, number 74.
Taxis from the airport are expensive at about £20. The journey will take about 15 minutes.
(2) FROM NEWCASTLE CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION
Find the entrance to the Metro system (marked with a yellow 'M'). Go down the stairs and buy a ticket to 'Gateshead'. This costs approximately £1.30 for a single journey. Take any train from platform 1. Now follow directions given above in (1).
(3) FROM NEWCASTLE BUS AND COACH STATION
Walk 400m to the Newcastle Central Railway station - Go through the gap in buildings at the back of the bus station, crossing the road and pass through the 'Centre for Life' square. The railway station's main entrance is on your right, under an arch. Enter the station and turn left. On your left you will see the yellow 'M'. This is the entrance to the Metro system. Now follow instructions given above in (2).
