About Tallinn Backpackers

Tallinn Backpackers is for those with true backpacker's spirit. What was once a luxurious apartment has been transformed into a top backpacker's hangout with bunk beds all over the place.

The location is perfect, just around the corner from the Town Hall Square and therefore just a stones-throw away from all the action. Our spacious kitchen combines a common room and is the perfect place to meet your fellow travellers or to watch movies on our big screen. We have 2 huge and luxurious bathrooms. On cold evenings we heat up the fireplace and if you want you can try our SAUNA FOR FREE.

For sure we are one of the most eccentric hostels you will find in the Baltics. To stay with us means you have to be open minded, tolerant and not too fussy about the fact that the bigger dorms are in open areas and one is used for showing movies on our big screen.

Our friendly staff, backpackers themselves, are happy to welcome you and will make sure you feel like you are at home!

Directions

Tallinn's Old Town is small and with a map it won't be hard to find us. We are situated on LAI, one of the mainstreets starting just north of the Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats) and hosting the Olav's church (once the tallest in the world).. We are located on number 10: look carefully we have (for the moment) only a small sign on the door. Ring the bell, when you hear a short click the door is open and you can walk upstairs.

Coming from the Harbour: Walk into the Old Town through the Big Gate. You will enter cobble stoned Pikk street. Turn at one point to the right and you will end up in Lai street. - the hostel street (house nr. 10).

Coming from other directions: Walk to the Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats). Lai street is one block away in the nothern part of the Old Town.
