Vana Tom is located in the Old Town of Tallinn. We are famous for being the first hostel in Tallinn catering for foreign guests.

Under New Management we are working hard to provide a better service to you, our valued guest. We provide low priced beds in a the busy Old Town of Tallinn, please remember we are not a Hotel.

This is a hostel with many people meeting and socialising together and that means they often make noise :-)

We have Beers and other drink now available in the Hostel to facilitate social gatherings.

Wifi access for those people with laptops and an internet computer dedicated for guests to use.

Established in Tallinn in 1993, the hostel offers friendly and helpful service making even the farthest travellers welcome! We offer accommodation for families, single visitors, and groups.

The hostel has two floors. On the first floor there are 8 private rooms (single and double), on the second floor 7 dormitory rooms (beds up to 6-12 guests).
A kitchen is available for use and is furnished with modern appliances for convienience and ease.


**Note: Check-in is possible from 12pm!**

The hostel was renovated in 2006 and has received positive reviews from our guests.

Directions

Vaike-Karja 1 is easy to locate coming off of a major road called Parnu Mnt. Vana Tom's entrance is aside Hotel Barons.

Walking from Pärnu mnt (Pärnu avenue) on Väike Karja street towards the Town Hall square will lead you to the hostel; or walking from Mere pst (Mere street) turn on Viru str, walk to Olde Hansa restaurant, turn left and on the left of Hotel Barons you will find Vana Tom hostel.

From the railway station take tram No 1 or 2 or walk just 10 minutes to the Old Town.

From the bus station take bus nr23 or 23A or tram nr4.

From the port - 15 min walk or bus nr.2.

From the airport - bus nr.2.

Bus, trolley and tram tickets can be purchased at newsstands for 10 EEKor from the driver for 15 EEK.

Taxi from the airport costs around Euro 5-6 (EEK80-90), from main bus and train stations Euro 3-4 (EEK 50-60), from the port - around EEK 40.
