Location is ideal for the travellers who value peace and quiet surroundings, beautiful nature and the vicinity of the sea. Yet the hotel is only 12 km from the city center of Helsinki with excellent connections by public transport from Kamppi bus terminal near central railway station in Helsinki. On Friday and Saturday nights the last bus leaves at 3.45 a.m from Helsinki.

Room rates (excluding dormitories) include bed linen and towels, buffet breakfast and free morning sauna.

Facilities

Hotel Matinlahti has two separate saunas with showers and changing rooms. The sauna department also includes two cosy cabinets.


The sauna is free for hotel guests during weekday mornings. Other times, the saunas can be reserved for private use.

Hotel Matinlahti is famous for its excellent food! Your day starts with a balanced breakfast and lunchtime offers a scrumptious buffet with starters, entrees and dessert buffet (mon-fri). A la Carte restaurant is open from 16.30 till 22.00 (mon-fri) The restaurant seats up to 300 guests.

From Helsinki-Vantaa airport:
Take bus number 615 from airport platform 21 . It goes to the railway station in Helsinki center. From there you can either walk to Kamppi bus station (5- 10 minutes) or catch the underground inside railway station to Kamppi. From Kamppi bus terminal, platform 49 ,take the bus number 132 to Matinlahti ( takes about 15 minutes). From bus stop turn to the left , cross the road and walk straight for a few minutes and you will see our hotel.

The entire trip takes about an hour and will cost you one regional ticket ,3,60 ? . With the same ticket you will be able to use any public transport ( underground, bus, tram ) inside Helsinki, Vantaa and Espoo for 80 minutes.

TIP: Buy a travel pass for 24/48/ 72 hours or 7 days and get unlimeted travel on buses, trams and local train as well as on a ferry to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress.

Private transport:

Take the exit from Länsiväylä highway 51 to Matinkylä and then follow the black and white Hotelli Matinlahti signs from the Matinkylä roundabout.
