If you're thinking of coming to Paris then you'd better think twice before checking in at the Appihotel. This is quite possibly the grottiest hole I've ever had the misfortune of staying in. The walls are paper thin, which means you can pretty much hear everything going on outside; the reception is open at very ridiculous and inconvenient times and its location on the historic Rue St Denis happens to be right in the thick of some pretty unsavoury shops!
