This place is a bit worse than any hostel i've ever stayed in. It calls itself a hotel, but I don't know how. It is not bad if you don't need much, just a bed and a sink for a cheap price.

The location is alright, you really are around the corner from a metro stop, and the walk in between at night feels a bit more safe because there are always people around and the streets are relatively well lit. However, there really is a kind of musty sewer scent to the place.

Also, don't expect to be up and showering early.The office didn't open until after 8 and you have to go to them to get a key for the shower. Speaking of the shower, it is slightly worse than a truck stop shower, so bring your shower shoes and your own towel.

The place does have a tiny bit of charm for the long large windows in the room and the folding shutters. Other than that, it is purely a cheap place to stay. The only really redeeming quality about it is that the people are pretty nice and helpful. I was a single girl traveling on my own and they helped me get my luggage up the tons of stairs and called a cab for me the day I left.

If you want to give up the luxuries in life, and just want a VERY basic, cheap place to stay this is not a bad choice. If you don't like smelly, tiny places, and no chance to take a long hot shower, this is not a good choice.
