The hostelboat 'eastern comfort', moored between two very lively districts in the center of town, looks forward to welcome you onboard with its modern, luxurious atmosphere it´s unique in berlin! Through the portholes of our 2nd class four-bed, triple-bed, single-bed, but mainly double bedcabins, you can see and hear the rippling of the river 'Spree', the main river leading through Berlin. All cabins have their own toilet/shower.
For the one´s of you, who like it very comfortable, we offer 1st class single- and double cabins.
For the colder period of the year, the boat is equipped wih a central heating system in every cabin.

The ship is located in the eastern part of the town, just at the border between the very lively districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, directly at the last piece of the 'wall' (dividing Berlin till 1989) just next to one of the most stunning old bridges crossing the river 'spree'

You can chill out with a german beer, a drink or a little snack, after a long days walk through town in our lounge or on the spacious topsundeck. We offer German Food!

The boat is non smoking, equipped with internet/WLAN, TV room, and a washing mashine and dryer. You may bring your bedding with you or hire it from us (5?). We provide a breakfast buffet (4,00?).

CABINS:
We offer 1st class: large doublebedcabins with showerbath also as singles and 2nd class:singlebed with showerbath, double-bed cabin ('french'-bed (125wide), shower in cabin), three-bed cabin ('french'-bed (125wide) and second bed/showerbath in cabin) and four-bed cabin ( bunk beds (single beds over each other), showerbath in cabin)
We take VISA/MASTER/IC-Card/CASH

Children under 6 years of age, non swimmers, pets are for security reasons not allowed on board.

-By Bus: ZOB (central bus station): (buy a single ticket 2,10? (at present)). From here, take the ?S-Bahn" (fast train) to station "Warschauer strasse". Outside the station, you hit a road (on a bridge), turn left, downhill towards a roadjunktion (traffic lights). Cross diagonal, walk along the "wall" (former berlin boundary wall), on the second opening/entrance you will see the boat and sign. (approx. 20min from ZOB to boat).

-By Plane: Airport "Tegel" (buy a single ticket 2,10? (at present)). TXL bus X109 to "Alexanderplatz', from there take the ?S-Bahn" (fast train) to station "Warschauer strasse". (approx. 20min from 'Tegel' to 'Warschauer Str').

Outside the station you hit a road (on a bridge), turn Left, downhill towards a roadjunktion (trafficlights). Cross diagonal, walk along the "wall" (former
berlin boundary wall), second opening/entrance you will see the boat and sign. (approx 7min walking from station to boat)

Airport "Schönefeld" SXF:
Outside the airport take the shuttlebus or walk (walkway with roof) to station. (buy a single ticket 2,10? at present) Expresstrain (RE) (every half hour) to "ostbahnhof" or take the "s-bahn" (fast train) to station "Warschauer Strasse".(approx. 30min from 'schönefeld' to 'warschauer str')

Outside the station you hit a road (on a bridge), turn left, downhill towards a roadjunktion (trafficlights). Cross diagonal, walk along the "wall" (former berlin boundary wall), second opening/entrance you will see the boat and sign. (approx 7min walking from station to boat)

-by train: to "hauptbahn" (fancy new station), from here take the ?S-Bahn" (fast train) to station "warschauer strasse". Outside the station you find a road (on a bridge), turn Left, downhill towards a roadjunktion (trafficlights). Cross diagonal, walk along the "wall" (former berlin boundary wall), second opening/entrance you will see the boat and sign. (approx 12 min from station 'ostbahnhof' to boat)

-by car: all motorways to berlin lead you onto the "Berliner Ring" (A10) (highway ring around berlin) .take any exit leading you to "Berlin Zentrum", look out for
signs directing you towards "Mitte"/ "Alexanderplatz" .From here you drive towards "Dresden"/ "Köpenick" , from "Holzmarktstr" you drive further into "Mühlenstr" (remember, there are many 'Mühlenstr in Berlin!) (the former "wall" on your right). Almost at the end, the last but not least opening, you will find "eastern comfort" hostelboat and a sign.(a live-saver-ring!!) (please park your car alongside the road free of charge)
