The Meininger City Hostel Hallesches Ufer is in Berlin's Bergmann District. Free breakfast buffet in the morning, and there's a rooftop terrace -- always a plus. The building is children friendly, and single rooms are available. Your first ten minutes of WiFi is free.

The hostel was very well run and our room was cleaned daily. The room was comfortable and we felt very secure. Breakfast was actually extra even though the website said it was included. Laundry was also extra. The hostel is a little outside of the city, 20-30 mins walking, but there was lots of public transport connections. Some of the staff were lovely but some were a little unhelpful. Overall it was a pretty good stay.
