The hanse town Rostock is the trading and economy capital of Mecklenburg Vorpommern. Mighty brick churches, massive warehouses and the time-honoured university building were messengers of the unmistakable character of this magnificent town to the homecoming seafarer.
The beautiful town centre with its hanse houses welcomes the visitor in a medieval flair and invites to go for a stroll in the Kröpeliner Street. You can find a pulsing nightlife in the earthy pubs, cocktailbars, clubs or on the party-boat in the harbour.
A must is the visit to the seaside resort Warnemünde with its legendary 'Altem Strom' (old stream), the Teapot, the classy villas and the endless wide soft sanded beach. Who wants to experience the impressive 'Windjammer' (wind wailer) and the traditional sailing boats will come on the 2nd august weekend to the HansSail.
We invite you to take a excursion to the hanse towns: Wismar, Stralsund, Greifswald or to the 'Barlach' town Güstrow. Take a tour on the Darß, to Bad Doberan (Münster) or with the ferry to Gedser (Dänemark).
