This 20-room hostel offers private rooms and 2 bed dorms all with toilets and showers in each room. The Erato Backpackers Hostel is in the centre of Aghia marina.
There are at least 3 ferries a day in peak season to Aghia marina directly from Athens harbour! Buy your tickets for the Saronic Round ferry and reduce your travel time to a 55 minute ferry ride and a 5 minute walk to the hostel.
Times of departure from Pireaus are: Mon-Thurs 10:00 14:30 and 17:00, Fri-Sat: 8:30, 11:00, 15:30, 18:30, Sun: 8:30, 11:00, 14:30, 17:15, 19:45. You may need to buy tickets in advance for weekend travel. After you arrive at the port, follow the crowd up to the main road in town and turn left onto it. You will soon come to what looks like the edge of town and you'll see a sign for Erato on the right. Turn right and we are just 50 metres up the road.
If you can't catch the ferry directly to Aghia Marina, you can take another boat to Aegina town (the main port). Boats leave very frequently and rarely sell out. In low season, these are the only ferries operating. If you arrive in Aegina Port, take the bus, available every hour or take a taxi to Aghia Marina. The ride takes about 20 minutes.
Once in Aghia marina look for signs listing the 'Erato Hotel' or ask anyone for it as the Erato hotel. The easiest way to find us is to locate the sea (signs or asking, you can see it from some parts of the main road), and walk with the sea to your left down the main road until you see our signs. We are very close to the bus stop, and about 5 minutes walk from the port.
