About Oughterards Canrawer House

Oughterard is a charming village on the shores of Lough Corib only 23Km from Galway City, also known as the internationaly renowend beauty spot of Brown Trout Fishery.
It is the ideal center to tour Connemara and the West, enjoying it's magnificent scenery or the 'Craic'.

Canrawer House is situated 1Km from the Village center and has 3 acre gardens. It is a purpose built Hostel. All rooms are en-suite and it has a large Kitchen, living room and private secure parking at the House.

Directions

Buses can be taken from Galway City, inquire at the Rail station for times and frequency. If you arrive from Galway by car, drive straight through the Village, look for the Corib Hotel on your left, past the Hotel take the next left hand turn, follow the road until you see the Hostel on your right hand side, about 1/2 Km from the turn.
