Welcome to Catania! We offer you fully furnished private apartments, equipped with every comfort, in a beautiful ancient palace at the heart of the city and suitable for short or long stays.
Politi Residence is near Piazza Duomo, the typical and colourful 'Pescheria' fish market, and the many shops and restaurants along Vias Emanuele II, Garibaldi, and Etnea.

Catania exudes a wonderfully un-touristy and authentic feeling. The city is vibrant, real, 'gritty', and alive. It makes a great base for travels to (the more expensive) Siracusa, Taormina, or Mount Etnea.
Our facilities are clean, secure, and relaxing, and located within the conveniences of the Duomo area where many cultural and culinary discoveries await you.

We have apartments (or dorms) for singles as well as units accommodating one, two, or three people. Each apartment has a bedroom, bathroom with shower, furnished kitchen, and a living room area. Our units also include TV, internet access (if you have a notebook), laundry, microwave, and air conditioning. Our apartments offer our guests autonomy and privacy.

Accommodations include breakfast served at a typical Italian Café, every morning from 07:00 to 11:00.

Children up to 8 years of age stay free in apartment with their parents.

Our dorms rooms -each accommodating up to eight persons-is an inexpensive yet high-quality option for those looking for conveniently located, clean, quiet, and relaxing facilities. The dorms consists of a relatively spacious bedroom with large individual storage lockers; a full bathrooms; and extra is a common room with a furnished kitchen, big sofa, TV, free Pc with internet access, and free laundry. A great alternative to the cramped and dingy 'mega-dorms'.

Our office in Via Politi 8 is open from Monday to Friday in this time 10- 13 and 16 - 19.
Saturday and Sunday office is open just for time signed in reservation.
Who don't arrive for hour signed in reservation, lost same reservation and pay a penalty of one night per person.

The residence is close to Piazza Duomo, to the typical and coloured fish market 'Pescheria' and to the roads and freeways that connect the city.

The office is sited via Politi No. 8, between Via Vittorio Emanuele(number 316) and Via Garibaldi (number 121).
The main door for apartments is sited in Via Politi n. 12.
The enter fo the common rooms is by Via Orfanelli No. 13, in the other corner of the building.

If you arrive by Duomo: go on Via Garibaldi; then at number 121 in right there's Via Politi

Walking from Catania Centrale Train Station:

From the Station walk south-west about 7 minutes on Via VI Aprile (which generally follows the waterfront) to the traffic circle at Piazza Martiri. [At this point Via Aprile becomes Via Cardinale Dusmet and starts winding to the west. If you accidentally continue down Dusmet it will also eventually end up just south of the Duomo. You would then turn right (north) just before the fish market and walk through the arch into Piazza Duomo, however...]
From Piazza Martiri turn right (west) onto Via Vittorio Emanuele II and walk about 10 minutes till you come to the Duomo and the "Statua dell' Elefante". From the Duomo continue west on the same Via Emanuele II for about another 6 minutes till you come to #316 Emanuele where you will find Via Politi connecting to the left.
Turn left (south) on Via Politi and you will find the office at Via Politi #8 about 30 meters down and on the left.
