Distance to city center: 1.67km (1.04 mi)

Property Description

Ape Rosa Bed & Breakfast was born in a Florentine villa from the late 18th century, entirely restored during the past two years. The restoration has maintained both structure and atmosphere, but also provided the necessary modernization of the facilities.

Ape Rosa B&B is the ideal choice for businesspeople in need of a bit of relax after a day's stress, and for tired tourists looking for an easy retreat before and after their peregrinations in and around this masterpiece of a city.

Our bedrooms are finely furnished with family furniture and paintings. The beds, though are modern, as well as the air conditioning and the lcd-TVs.

All rooms have their own bathrooms, with shower or bath, and are decorated with hand-painted tiles from Vietri, a city in the South of Italy renowned for its ceramics.
You can sleep in a double, twin, single or triple room; all rooms are on the first and second floor of the villa. Due to its ancient origins, there are no lift facilities.

We provide daily cleaning and a change of linen and towels every three days, daily if necessary.

Children friendly.

Directions

How to reach us:

We are situated in proximity of the city centre and are easily reachable by car and public transports.

By car: On the A1 Motorway exit at 'Firenze Nord' and follow the directions for 'Ospedale Careggi' (hospital). Just after the railway bridge, in Piazza Dalmazia, turn right and then left at the second trafficlight. Here (Piazza Tanucci) turn left and drive straight to the first square (Piazza Leopoldo); here turn left in the middle of the square and follow the traffic until you see an icecream shop (Baroncini), then turn right in Via Mercati. At the very top turn left: you are in Via dei Cappuccini, keep driving and on the right after nr.6 you will find nr.12.

By bus: With your back to the trains, exit the main station to the left and get on bus nr.4 on the other side of the sidewalk. From there to Ape Rosa there are 13 stops, but the driver doesn't always stop at all of them, so ask him for the stop at the University of Engineering ('Ingegneria'). You will have to walk back some 20-30 meters to find us.

By plane : From the airport you can either take a taxi (the trip costs about 10 euro) or the shuttle bus to the central station, and then follow the directions as above.

From Pisa airport there are trains (some direct) and shuttle buses to the central train station of Florence, just ask for timetables at the entrance, or to us when booking.
