In the centre of Florence very near to Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti, in the picturesque Oltrarno quarter, in a typical Florentine house of the sixteenth century, you will find Giglio Bianco B&B and its restaurant.

The B&B is situated on the second floor. Even if there is no elevator, the B&B is easily reachable. It has 2 delicious quiet bedrooms, with private toilet, furnished with good taste and very comfortable. Each room has private bath with shower, hairdryer, towel, TV, Mini-bar.

Before the two bedrooms there is a little living-room, illuminated through a skylight, where guests can read, surf the internet or taste good wine.

In the ancient kitchen there is the Culinary Art Laboratory where the Chef prepares marvellous dinners for the B&B guests, but also for all the people who would like to taste delicious things.
The abundant breakfast, served in the main living-room looking on to the Boboli Garden and cheered up by a background music, will let you start your day in the best way.

Continental Breakfast (included):

Bread rolls or toast with butter, honey, jam (Home made!!), Pastries, Orange juice, American coffee, Espresso, Cappuccino, Tea, Milk.
We prepare, on request, breakfasts and dinners for vegetarians, diabetics and for people with gluten intolerance.

By car: Autostrada (Highway) A1 Milano-Napoli, exit at 'Firenze Certosa', continue for Via Cassia, then Via Senese and Via del Gelsomino. Turn left into Viale del Poggio Imperiale. Pass through Piazzale di Porta Romana and turn right into Piazza della Calza, continue for Via Romana. We are at number 28.

From Santa Maria Novella train station:

Via Luigi Alamanni and then Piazza della Stazione, turn right into Via Santa Caterina da Siena, turn right into Via della Scala, continue for Piazzale di Porta al Prato and then Viale Fratelli Rosselli, Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Ponte della Vittoria. Go through Piazza Taddeo Gaddi and Via de' Vanni, turn left in Piazza Paolo Uccello, continue for Via del Pignoncino, , turn left into Via Giovanni della Casa and left again into Via Pisana, turn right towards Piazza Pier Vettori, turn right again into Viale Raffaello Sanzio. Continue for Viale Aleardo Aleardi, Viale Vasco Pratolini, Viale Francesco Petrarca. Piazza Torquato Tasso, turn right into Via del Campuccio and finally turn left into Via Romana. We are at number 28.


On foot from Santa Maria Novella train station:

From Piazza della Stazione, turn left into Via Valfonda, then continue for Viale Filippo Strozzi, Viale Belfiore, Piazzale di Porta al Prato, Viale Fratelli Rosselli, Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Ponte della Vittoria, Piazza Taddeo Gaddi, Via de' Vanni, turn left into Piazza Paolo Uccello, continue for Via del Pignoncino, turn left into Via Giovanni della Casa, left again into Via Pisana, turn right into Piazza Pier Vettori, right again into Viale Raffaello Sanzio. Continue for Via Aleardo Aleardi, Viale Vasco Pratolini and Viale Francesco Petrarca, continue for Piazzale di Porta Romana, Piazza Torquato Tasso, turn right again into Via del Campuccio and finally turn left into Via Romana. The B&B Giglio Bianco is located in the city center in front of Giardino di Boboli. Within ten minutes' walking you can reach all the most important monuments of Florence and The Palazzo Pitti with the Boboli Garden, the Duomo with the Brunelleschi's Cupola and Giotto's Bell Tower, the Santa Croce Church.
The B&B is also very close to some of the most important museums of the world such as the Uffizi and the 'Galleria dell'Accademia', where you can admire the original statue of David, the symbol of Florence.
