Samotnia Hostel

Schronisko Smotnia, Karpacz

Property Description

Whoever has been to the Karkonosze Mountains will most certainly admit that the Small Pond (Maly Staw) Cirque is one of the most beautiful spots.

On this very mountain lake, where the forest gives way to the dwarf pine, there stands one of the oldest hostels in the Polish Mountains, called Samotnia (Secluded Place). Some consider it to be a pearl among the Lower Silesia's chalets.

It is worthwhile to go astray from the main trail leading from Karpacz Gorny-Mt Sniezka (Snowhill) in order to have a look at the Maly Staw Cirque and let your eyes enjoy the richness of alpine flora in summer and dramatic snowy overhangs in winter.

Our hostel sleeps 49 people and we have single, double and dormitory rooms. There is a wash stand in every room. A shower-bath and WC is on the first floor only.

Our buffet offers tasty food all day long and from our reception desk you can obtain skis and deck chairs, postcards and tourism information. We also provide a mountain rescue service!
