Property Description

THIS STORY OF A BACKPACKER IN WARSAW
MAY BE YOURS

Imagine...
The vibrant capital city - Warsaw. The very centre of it. Cozy and small (we have only 44 beds) Hostel Helvetia - situated in a quiet street. Our friendly staff welcomes you with a big smile. Option No. 1 ? if they are girls, you find out what a famous "Polish" beauty means. Option No. 2 ? if they are boys, you probably get immadiately familiar to our national sense of humor.
Then you are given your key: "Wow! I have never seen so spacious dorms!" ? you think, or (if you are a couple in a twin room): "The beds are so comfy that I'm affraid we will never leave the hostel". Your Warsaw home's design is simple but elegant with bright colourful walls with pictures from the owners' various trips. Trekking in the Himalayas, wandering in Bolivia, cycling in Poland... You look at them and feel good because you know you are hosted by real backpackers.
In the evening you decide to interview the receptionists. Then, armed with all the necessary information - where to eat Polish pierogi (dumplings), how to avoid the crowds of other tourists, which are the best clubs ? you are off to explore this amazing city that was blown up from the earth fifty years ago and now its energy is just cosmic. Before leaving the Helvetia you ask the staff the question that reminds you of the times of college parties but you have to ask it as you would rather not force the entrance door at 4 am: " Can I come back late?" (you imagine your father's mouth answering: "No"). Then you hear the response: "There is NO curfew, NO lockout, NO early check-out at our hostel. The reception is open 24 hours".
The next day in the morning the smell of coffee wakes you up. You can drink it for free. You have a full breakfast (cheese, ham, jam, cornflakes, bread) included in a price of any double room or you can buy it for 10 zlotys. You enjoy the atmosphere of our common room and the kitchen, linked together, representing Polish people's lifestyle: there is no better place to socialize than at the table. So you feel like you were a member of a big family: your Indian brother cooks aromatic dahl, your American sister watches CNN, your Irish cousin plays the music and the rest of them degust vodka (by the way, don't forget to ask us which labels to buy so you won't end up in our clean toilette).
Sitting in a blue armchair you might think: "Where the hell do they have their laptops?" because, as an experienced traveller you know that up-to-date trend is staying constantly connected. Ok. We have a free Internet access, Wi-Fi, cheap Skype calls, cd-burner ? anything you need. But you know what? Something strange is going on at the Helvetia. Five minutes after an arrival everybody deposits their laptops in our free safe and starts making friends with real people in a real life.

Please read the following:
Do not take 'no-name' taxis that have only word 'Taxi' in their logo! Take only these ones which have also the name of a company,
for example: Wawa Taxi, Halo Taxi, Sawa Taxi, MPT and so on.... Always check the fare - it must be placed on a sticker on one of the windows and
should not be higher than 2 PLN /km (average is 1,60).
