Our recently opened Lemon Hostel is located in early XIX century building situated in Bairro Alto, which as the name suggests, spreads itself over one of Lisbon's hills. Bairro Alto is not only famous by its endless number of corners and narrow streets, but, most of all, because of its rich nightlife which starts when all the lights of Lisbon go out?

That is why our location is ideal to start your trip through one of the most characteristic and emblematic cities in Europe, and at the end of the day to go out just by the corner, have a drink in the centre of Lisbon ? party zone, and get to warm and cozy room afterwards.

Clean, affordable and secure. Our newly-renovated rooms are dormitory-style ranging from 2,3,4,10 and 12 beds. There are 2 bathrooms with 5 hot showers 24h a day, fully equipped kitchen (microwave, toster, cooker, fridge, coffee machine) and a living room for your use at any time of the day.

Our young, competent, cheerful and helpful staff will make you have a wonderful time in the capital of Portugal and can give you any information you might need.

You are in walking distance from dozens of restaurants, bars and clubs. You have public transportation and convenience store right in front of the hostel.

Directions

The easiest way to get to us from the airport is by taxi. However you have to be careful not to get overcharged. You shouldn´t pay more than 10?.
Other way is to take a shuttle bus that would take you to Rossio Square. Ticket price is about 3?. From then you can either take a taxi (5?) or walk up the stairs called Calcada de Duque(which, to tell you the truth, is quite tiring but it is also the fastest&cheapest way to get to our hostel). Then take a right into Rua de Sao Pedro de Alcantara. Go uphill around 8 minutes and then take a left into Rua da Rosa. Our hostel is just 2 minutes away.
From the airport you can also take a regular bus, no. 44 or 45 which would cost you 1,30?. It will take you to Cais do Sodre, its final stop. Then the easiest way is to take a small bus no.92 that would drop you off right at the door of our hostel in Rua da Rosa. But you can also take buses no. 790 or 58. You have to get off in Principe Real. You will see a park in front of you. To get to Rua da Rosa you have to leave a park behind. You have to go down the Dom Pedro V street and take a right into Rua da Rosa. Our hostel is right at the beginning of the street.
The easiest way to get to our hostel from Oriente Train Station is to catch a red line underground. It will take you to Alameda, its final stop where you have to change for green line. Get off in Baixa-Chiado. Then you can either walk up Rua da Misericordia, continue by Rua de Sao Pedro de Alcantara and then take a left into Rua da Rosa. Or you can catch buses no. 790 or 58 and follow instructions written above.
