Welcome to John O'Groats Youth Hostel. Set in a peaceful location the hostel offers wonderful views across the Pentland Firth to Orkney.

Close to the hostel there are many craft workshops and access to a nice beach and many coastal walks including the famous sea stacks of Duncansby Head where interesting seabirds will accompany you on your way. Then again why not take the option of a day trip to Orkney.

A perfect break for birdwatchers, cyclists and coastal walkers.

Directions

By Bus:
From Inverness: Citylink Express to Thurso or Wick. From Thurso / Wick, Rapsons coaches (Highland County) stop outside the hostel door.

By Train:
Nearest stations are Wick or Thurso. Then get bus as above.

By Car:
Follow the A9 from Inverness to Wick, then the A 99 to John O' Groats. Then follow the A836 to the hostel (well sign-posted).
From Thurso, follow the A836 to hostel, watching for Youth Hostel and Canisbay signs.
