Directions

From Granada Airport:

Take the N323 south (direction Motril). After approx 37 km turn off for Lanjarón. Follow the road through the village (direction Órgiva). Immediately before Órgiva, turn left (direction Trevélez). Take the winding road up the mountain. Pass through Pampaneira and continue on this road, passing through Pitres and then through Pórtugos, ending up in Busquistar.

Park your car on the parking area, walk to the church and follow the signs 'Casa Sonia'. The foot-path indicated by the signs 'Casa Sonia' is rather steep.

From Malaga Airport:

Follow the signs to Málaga. After 2 km there is a 'Campsa' petrol station. After here prepare to join the right hand lane to take the 'Ronda de Málaga' (direction Motril / Almeria). Continue on this road (E15 / N340), heading east along the coast, passing by Nerja (where the motorway currently terminates), La Herradura, Almuñecar and Salobreña. Approx 2 km past Salobreña turn off for Granada (N323). Travel north approx 13 km, taking the 2nd turning for Velez de Benaudalla. Cross the bridge and turn left (direction Órgiva). Pass through Órgiva, then immediately turn right (direction Trevélez). Take the winding road up the mountain. Pass through Pampaneira and continue on this road, passing through Pitres and then through Pórtugos, ending up in Busquistar.

By Bus:

Busquistar can also be reached by bus. There is a bus connection to Granada four times a day. You could of course change busses in Órgiva and, doing so, travel to Málaga via Motril.
