Hostal Loreto

Calle Loreto 12, Denia
Distance to city center: 0.64km (0.40 mi)

Property Description

Hostal Loreto is located in the medieval centre of the old town, close to many good restaurants and shops. Denia is a bustling port not too far from the airports of Alicante and Valencia with fast ferry links to Ibiza and the Balearics.

The hotel was formerly a nunnery and was built by the Marquis del Campo about 450 years ago. It is 800 metres from the beach and has 43 recently renovated rooms, all of which have televisions, air conditioning, ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms and security boxes. It is rumoured that there is a secret tunnel to the castle on the hilltop behind the hotel.

The hotel houses a popular restaurant which fronts onto a street terrace in a pedestrian area. There is also a pleasantly cool XIV century patio where guests may breakfast.

At lunchtimes the restaurant offers a three course 'menu del dia' including a glass of wine. The menu, which changes daily, costs around 10 euros.

Hotel guests have the option of pre-paid full- or half-pension arrangements which offer a substantial discount to the normal restaurant prices.

The bar and restaurant are open all day (except tuesday) from 8:15 serving drinks and snacks including a wide range of coffees and ice-creams.

There are activities to suit everyone in and around Denia, including golf, sailing, scuba diving, kite surfing, jet skiing, mountain biking and climbing. However some people come just to enjoy the 20 kilometres of beautiful beaches!

In August there is a two night minium stay for weekend bookings (Friday-Saturday).

Directions

BY CAR:
As you enter Denia you drive straight-on over a series of roundabouts. Just before the final roundabout there is a petrol station on the left hand side of the road. Exit this roundabout at the second exit into the Av. de Valencia. Drive straight on until you reach the no-entry signs (at the end of the Calle Loreto). Turn right into the Plaza Valgamedios and turn immediately (sharp) left into the Ronda de las Murallas. At the roundabout take the second exit right and follow the Ronda de las Murallas around the perimeter of the castle where it first becomes Sanchis Guarner, then Fora Mur and finally Calle de la Mar (on the other side of the castle). At the end of the Calle de la Mar drive straight-on to the Plaza Constitucion ignoring the dead-end signs (do not follow the main flow of traffic turning left into Calle Diana). Turn right onto the Plaza and exit left into Calle Loreto where you will see the Hotel in front of you. If the hydraulic bollards are in place, stop in front of them and come to the Hotel and we will open the street for you. If the street is open drive to the Hotel and we will direct you to the parking after you have deposited your luggage and checked in.

It will save you a lot of time if you print the PDF map from our web site.
