Directions

From Malaga Airpport:

On leaving the airport you come to a roundabout with the San Miguel brewery on your right. Go straight on and stay in the left hand lane, which will take you over a flyover. The road will then curve round and will join the N340A.

After approximately 5 mins you will then see signs for Almeria and Motril turn-off to your right. Follow this turn off, which will then join the N340. This road circumvents Malaga. Continue on this road. At some point the road becomes the E15/902.

Just after the Nerja turn off the road becomes the N340 once again, a winding, scenic, one lane road. Most of the beaches along this road are part of the natural park and are unspoilt and untouched by commercial development. Continue on this road until you reach Almunecar.

At Almunecar turn right just before the tree lined boulevard, with Macdonalds on your right, sign posted Jete and Otivar. Pass the traffic lights and follow the road around to your right and you will eventually drive under the N340. Continue on this winding single lane road for about 10 mins passing through the village of Jete.

Just after Jete you will see a sign for Itrabo on your right. Take this turning and continue up the hill. As you come down the other side of the hill you will see Itrabo on your left. Continue down the hill to the roundabout.

From Granada Airport:

Take the main road and pass two petrol stations on your right. Turn right sign posted Granada onto the A92. Keep in the right hand lane (Sign posted Santa Fe). Once in Santa Fe keep on the main road through the traffic lights. Eventually you will see a sign for Motril. Take the right hand slip road onto a roundabout junction (this is junction 128 of the E902) and join the E902 towards Motril. This motorway runs along the west of Granada from north to south, and there are a number of junctions onto it from Granada's western side should you wish to visit the centre of Granada en route.

Continue along the E902. The 3 lane motorway eventually splits into 2. DO NOT bear right but continue straight on sign posted MOTRIL for about 30 mins. The road chops and changes between three and two lanes taking you around Sierra Nevada mountain range to the west (to your left.

The road eventually narrows to a single lane and the road itself will be flatter, winding through hills either side, passing the odd petrol station, restaurant, and the Rio Guadalfeo to your right.
You will eventually pass through a short, steep gorge after which there will be two petrol stations, one on your left and the other immediately on your right. The road eventually becomes straighter and you will pass some small workshop/Antique shops on your right hand side. Just beyond those shops there will be a sign for Lobres, Molvizar and Itrabo.

TURN RIGHT onto this road. The junction has a small roundabout tucked inside it. Continue on this road for 15 mins approx. This is a winding road in places with small but steep occasional climbs. You will pass two villages along the way. The first village immediately after the turn off is Lobres, and then Molvisar.

On entering Itrabo. Please let us know your arrival time and we can come and meet you at the village square.
