About Hostal Carreras

Hostal Carreras is located in Madrid old quarters, at the heart of the historic part of the city, just a step from Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor.

The guesthouse is also within easy walking distance to the main museums in Madrid such as the Prado Art Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofia Contemporary Art Museum.

Hostal Carreras has single, double, twin and triple rooms with shower and heating. There are 2 shared bathrooms. We have a left-luggage service. Public car parking areas available near the guesthouse.

Getting to Hostal Carreras from the Airport:
Take the metro at the airport (pink line no.8) towards 'Nuevos Ministerios'. Get off at 'Mar de Cristal', change to line no.4 towards 'Arguelles' and get off in 'Goya'. In 'Goya' change to line no.2 towards 'Cuatro Caminos' and get off at the stop called 'Sol'. Out in the street, find calle "Carrera de San Jerónimo", walk straight and take calle "Principe". Hostal CARRERAS is at no.18 (3th floor by lift).

From train station:

In Madrid there are two train stations for long distance trips ('ATOCHA' & 'CHAMARTÍN'). From both there are several taxi stops and you can also come by subway taking in mind that the nearest subway stop to the hostal is 'SOL' station.


How to come from highway M-30:

Take calle Toledo and turn right on Calle de la Cruz. Continue straight on and turn right at the next crossing, taking our street 'Calle Principe'.
