What are the benefits of membership on EuropeanHostels? Who can become a member? How do I sign up? And where did my username go?

What are the benefits of membership?

When you become a member of EuropeanHostels, you instantly begin participating in a community of like-minded travelers and backpackers. You can easily read feedback, reviews and ratings on thousands of hostels from other hostellers around the world. Have an opinion? You can lend your two cents to any number of forums and rate and review hostels, even if you haven’t booked them through the site.

No matter where you are in the world, you can always log on to EuropeanHostels and review your trip itineraries, confirmations and booked hostels. All of your information is saved under “my account”. Don’t know where you’re sleeping tonight? No problem. As a member, you can log on and check reviews of hostels in your neck of the woods.

How do I sign up and start posting?

Simply click the “registration” tab on the home page at EuropeanHostels.com and follow the on-screen instructions. You can begin posting almost immediately.

Note: Registration is always free of charge.

I forgot my password and/or username.

Don’t worry. Simply click the "Forgot your password" link under the "my account" tab and follow the on-screen instructions in order to retrieve your username and/or password.

I booked a hostel, but it’s not listed under "my account."

When you book a hostel with EuropeanHostels, you have the opportunity to become a member. When you join EuropeanHostels, all booked trips are saved under the “my account” tab. Simply click on this tab to see a list of your trips.

If you can’t find your reservation, there may be a problem with the email address. Please check to make sure you didn’t use a different email address to book. Did you spell your email address correctly?

Where’s the review I posted?

All user reviews are first approved by EuropeanHostel’s editors to ensure quality and that they meet our appropriate guidelines (i.e. no offensive content etc.). As such, there is a bit of a time lag from when you click the “send” button on the review page and when we actually upload your review to our server.

Writing a review is easy to do and a great way to contribute to an active backpacker community.

How do I join a forum?

Once you become a member of EuropeanHostels.com, you can post to any forum. You may be asked for your password or username.

How do I review a hostel?

On each individual hostel page, simply click the tab that says, “write a review” and follow instructions. You may be asked to enter your password or username first.

I have a problem that wasn’t addressed in the Help section.
