  • I was so happy to have the opportunity to have an affordable place to stay in Zermatt, so I am very thankful for the Matterhorn Hostel.
    It would be be nice to have a larger lounge - we were crowded in there with several groups of people needing & using the lounge.
    Also, I was happy to see the rules posted on the door but sad to realize that a group that was staying there at the same time as we were did not honor & follow the rules. They were loud well past the "quiet" times. It made me wonder if the rules are reviewed at check-in time so that all people staying there understand the expectations and considerations that need to be followed to make it a pleasant stay for all. Please make it clear to everyone what the rules and expectations are.
    The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and we very much liked the Matterhorn Hostel.

  • The Matterhorn hostel was a clean and friendly place to stay. The location was great and the view spectacular. The only complaint I could conjure up is the lack of soap provided in the bathrooms.
