Central Helsinki

The heart of Helsinki is comprised of various small districts, including Kamppi and Kluuvi, though all are in very easy walking distance of one another. Visitors will be spending a lot of time in this area, as the city’s famous art museums, along with the Stockmann department store and Esplanadi Park, are all within the center.

Katajanokka

A quiet, residential area of town, this hood is also called Katajanokka. Accommodation options are notably sparse, though the backpacker favorite Eurohostel is located here. Aside from a peaceful ambience, this area offers proximity to many of the ferry terminals that provide transportation in and out of Helsinki.
