The Euro Youth Hotel is one of the few hostels that survived WWII and is located in Munich's city center. The hostel offers singles, doubles, and dormitory rooms, along with a variety of amenities, including laundry, internet, luggage storage, bike parking, and security lockers. Check the hotel bar if you're looking to meet fellow travelers.
Nice place to stay - historic feel, clean floors and bathrooms, polite helpful staff, good breakfast included (2 cereals, fruit, meats and cheeses, breads with good selection of spreads, juice). Free wireless is fast. Location is perfect - so close to Hauptbanhoff and Marienplatz. Immediately adjacent to Wombat and Jeager's and a couple other hostels. Some others looked fancier, but you can feel the history in this one - it's definitely older - pre WWII . I liked it better.
The room was much bigger than expected. The window opened out on to a street with plenty of inspiration for a yound composer to write what he was hearing. A return to this hostel is needed by anyone who stays.
