  • stayed about 20 minutes then walked around buddapest at 1am looking for another place. not a nice location and nothing like the pictures. unpleasant vibe. supplied with a dead computer and a random locked door with light on inside in main room.

About 1st Hostel

1st Hostel Budapest has a good location near the Danube river. It is a high quality hostel with very reasonable prices. We are within a few minutes walk from Astoria metro station. Our 4, 6 and 8 bedded dormitory rooms are equipped with bunk beds and individual lockers.

The hostel provides shared bathrooms with hot and cold running water, maps, brochures, use of linen.

The 1st Hostel is located in the best part of downtown Budapest - next to the famous Sinagogue, the Hungarian National Museum and within a short walking distance to the Market Hall, the Danube River, the pedestrian street Vaci utca, the Royal Palace and lots of other Budapest sights.

Directions

Airport:
The best way is if you come with taxi Fotaxi, its the cheapest. The Minibus is good if you are alone. If you come by public transportation you should buy 3 tickets. Come with the airport bus to the last stop (Kobánya-Kispest), there take M3 (blue line) metro from the bus station to Deak Ferenc tér. From there you can walk to us or you change to M2 line until Astoria. Go back on Rakoczi street 100 m and come in on Sip utca.

Keleti railway station:
Take M-2 (red line) metro from the train station to ASTORIA stop. Go back on Rakoczi street 100 m and come in on Sip utca.

Nyugati railway station:
Take M3 (blue line) metro from the train station to Deak Ferenc ter. From there you can walk to us or you change to M2 line until Astoria. Go back on Rakoczi street 100 m and come in on Sip utca.

From Station Deli:
Take M2 (red line) metro to Astoria stop.

From Nepliget Station:
Take M3 (blue line) metro from the bus station to Deak Ferenc ter. From there you can walk to us or you change to M2 line until Astoria. Go back on Rakoczi street 100 m and come in on Sip utca.
