• The perfect solution for backpackers and solo nomads, The Itaca Hostel is located in the center of Barcelona's Gothic zone, near the Cathedral and Cuatro Gats Cafe, the hotspot for 20th century scholars and bohemians.
   
  Hotel management is friendly and makes Itaca feel like a home-away-from-home. It's easy to make friends in the dim light of the mural-painted lounge area over a cup of free coffee or tea while listening to reggae music pumping from surround-sound speakers. Miss home? Internet is available in the lounge too.
   
  If you're hungry, the Itaca is only a short stroll away from a local grocer and has a full kitchen for guests to use, instead of feeling like they have to go broke over the bars that are also in the area (but hey, if you have the euros, a drink would never hurt!) But if you do choose to go out, be aware that the hostel does have a 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. curfew. If you're up early enough (and still have any euros left after your exciting night) treat yourself to Itaca's awesome breakfast for only a few euros.

About Itaca Hostel

Located in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic area, in a quiet street opposite the Cathedral .
Just a few minutes walk from the city's most interesting cultural and architectural sights (Cathedral, Picasso Museum, Palau de la Música, Gaudí arquitecture, MACBA, Les Ramblas...), very close to the beach and the best places to go out, from traditional 'tapas' bars to the hippest nightlife.

We have clean, cosy and spacious facilities. Our rooms are exteriors and they all have their own balcony

Itaca has a 30 people capacity so it allows more contact between us and you, and between yourselves, giving you a more personal service (more alternative guides to the city?)

About us?
Inspired by our travels we opened Itaca in August 2001 with the idea of bringing together all that we've enjoyed in other places creating a comfortable, friendly and sociable atmosphere where you can discover our culture at your own pace.

We offer a well equipped kitchen for our guest's use.

IN THE PRICE WE INCLUDE LOCKERS, BED LINEN, SELF USE KITCHEN, INTERNET WIRELESS (WI FE)

THE CURFEW IS FROM 4AM TO 7AM (accept special nights such as new year's eve or St Joan...when we open all night). We only close 3 hours, when you can not enter but, of course, you can get out. We do that so we can guarantee at least 3 hours sleep for the ones that wants to go out at night but also enjoy day time in Barcelona.
