  • The 99-bed Astor Quest Hostel is like a diamond in the rough compared to its dull neighbors on Queensborough Terrace. Music was blasting throughout the lobby when we came in, which gave off more of a frat house feel than hostel reception area vibe.

This place really isn't for the young at heart-it's for the young and the young only. In fact, management rolls their eyes at those who are older than 35, but in all honesty, we can't really see anyone older than 28 getting attracted to this place. But backpackers with a desire to make friends fast will find Astor Quest a dream come true.

The Quest is lined with double rooms that have toilets in the hall, and a series of nine-bed dorms with attached bathrooms.
