Old Town

The heart of medieval Riga, Old Town boasts the city’s most prominent tourist attractions. St. Peter’s Church and the Riga Castle are located here, as are many quaint churches and cobblestoned squares. The hood is packed with restaurants, shops, and hotels. Things can get noisy in the warmer months.

The Center

Located north of the Old Town, this hood is the commercial district of Riga. Along with plenty of boutiques and malls, you’ll find most of the city’s Art Nouveau buildings here. The Center is about a 15-minute walk from the Old Town.
