Located in the more business-like section of Sodermalm, the petite Hotel Renstierna can at first be mistaken for a store, but is fresh and cheery inside, with a subtle nautical theme.
All rooms are decked out with snug duvets, modern furnishings, cable televisions, and sinks. Beds come in either bunks or double-size mattresses (but request ahead for those). Rooms either give you a view of the street, the back, or are below ground level, but these have skylights giving you a nice amount of natural light.
The Scandi buffet breakfast can be eaten in a cozy grotto-like space on the basement floor, which also has a television with DVD player. The kitchen is fully accessible to guests, including the fridge, sink, stove, and cooking utensils.
