• A former hat factory within a short walking distance to Oranienburgerstrasse, Mitte's Backpacker Hostel is another legendary Berlin hipster hostel.
  
  Tucked away in this courtyard location, it offers 100 beds in rooms that have a fun, individual style. Throughout the years, artists and backpackers have stamped their mark on different rooms, creating unique sleeping atmospheres, such as the Indian room, the Honeymoon Suite, and the Marlene Dietrich room. The Arabic Room (#344) takes the cake though, with gold walls, painted designs, Arabic script borders, starry skies, and ornate ceilings.
  
  Bedroom doors and entire bathrooms are canvasses where hostel painters can flamboyantly leave their mark. Even the hallways of this hostel are decorated, with random bits of abstract sculpture hanging from the ceiling and installation pieces that populate the landings. The art is part of the whole experience, and we think it's great.
  
  The lounge downstairs appeals to the cool crowd, with a hip, young staff that caters the bar and advises guests on what to do and where to go.

Mittes Backpacker Hostel boats a super central location. We are just 10 minutes walk from Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate and Friedrichstrasse.

The colour orange - warm, friendly, trendy, funky, fresh - no wonder it's the chosen colour of Mitte's Backpacker Hostel. The first Backpacker hostel in germany represents the original pure australien backpacker flair. The reception area with the bar and the cosy atmosphere is distinctly laid back and relaxed.

All rooms are decorated of young artists like Underwater Room or 4Elements Room and if this isn't enough to make you feel instantly at home-from-home, the English speaking, helpful staff are sure to make life all easier. This lively hostel in a prime location which offers a long list of extra services and information on local events and parties.

Party with us at the Karneval der Kulturen, Christopher Street Day, Fete de la musique and Berlin's famous open air raves.
