The owners of the Heart of Gold Hostel in Downtown Berlin believe their hostel "looks a bit like a spaceship." This spaceship/hostel offers dorms, singles, and private showers. Internet access is provided, and the pool table is always free to use. Twenty-four hour check in, and no curfew.
About Heart of Gold Hostel
A state-of-the-art hostel that looks a bit like a spaceship but it's mostly harmless.
We are the most centrally located hostel in Downtown Berlin and offer dorms, private cabins and private rooms with showers.
Breakfast is served from 8 - 12 and we also provide packed lunches, sandwiches and dinners as well as sweets 'n snacks from outer space.
We have a late checkout at 12.00 and no lockout or curfew. We provide internet access, a pool table, soccer table, Laundromat, sunglass rental and a huge chill out area with a TV and cinema specials. We also have a yard and garden where you can hang out when the weather is suitable.
Our staff will do their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible in one of the most hospitable starships in Berlin.
Only one stop from the Main Station Hauptbahnhof: Take any s-bahn going east. It's one stop to Friedrichstrasse. Exit onto Friedrichstr., turn left and walk north, cross the River Spree. After the bridge take the second right into Johannisstrasse, walk 200 m down the street and you will find us on the left hand side in number 11.
Zoo station: Take any s-bahn going east. It's four stops to Friedrichstrasse. then see above
Ostbahnhof: Take any s-bahn going west. It's four stops to Friedrichstrasse, then see above
Schönefeld Airport: Take the s-bahn number S9 to Friedrichstrasse, then see above
Tegel Airport: Take bus 128 to u-bahn Kurt-Schumacher-Platz, then get on the U6 in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf. Get off at Oranienburger Tor, go out the exit in the same direction as the u-bahn has left. Keep walking, take the first left into Johannisstrasse, walk 200 m down the street and you will find us on the left hand side in number 11.
