Directions

Vertigo Hotel is located very centrally to Marseille city centre at only 10 to 15 minutes walk from the Old Port and under 5 minutes walk from Marseille Gare St Charles. Here we explain how to get to Hotel Vertigo from

GARE ST CHARLES:
From the station, the easiest way to find us is to leave the station by the main exit. Descend the wide steps and at the bottom turn right and follow the road round up the hill. You will see a tunnel under the steps you just came down on the right hand side and on your left directly opposite this a small Place with several cafes, bars and a boulangerie. Hotel Vertigo lies 20 metres down on the left on Rue des Petites Maries, which is the lower road coming off the Place.

MARSEILLE PROVENCE AIRPORT:
There is a shuttle service between the airport and Marseille Gare St Charles at :10, :30 and :50 of each hour every hour between 5.30am and 10.50pm. The shuttle costs 8.50? and takes between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the time of day. It drops you off in the station car park, the other side of Gare St Charles to Vertigo. Enter the station and follow the walkway past the platforms to get to the main entrance, and from here follow directions as above.

MARSEILLE CITY CENTRE (VIEUX PORT or OLD PORT):
From the head of the Old Port, follow La Canebière up hill (the main road leaving the port area). Turn left after McDonalds onto Boulevard Dugommier (this turns into Boulevard d'Athènes further up the hill), and continue straight on until the wide steps of the station are straight ahead of you. At the bottom of this staircase turn left and follow the road up the hill. When you see the tunnel under the steps turn left onto the lower road of 2 which open onto the small Place (see instructions from station).

THE A7 MOTORWAY:
Follow the A7 into the City, following signs for Centre-Ville and Gare St Charles. These signs will bring you out onto Place Jules Guesde (see very large archway). Come around the roundabout and come of at the 4th exit onto Boulevard Charles Nédélec. At the end of the Boulevard you will see the station ahead of you- turn right so that you come down the right side of the station. As you approach La Poste which is part of the station complex on your left, get into the right-hand lane. Shortly after La Poste is a small Place with several cafes. Rue des Petites Maries is the further of the 2 roads. Because we are located so close to the car park it is possible to use the Da Vinci station car park. To get here instead of turning right onto Rue des Petites Maries, continue down the road, following it round to the left at the bottom (see the large station steps on your left). Continue maybe 20 metres and follow signs to the left for the station car park.

THE A55 MOTORWAY:
Follow the A55 towards the City centre, following signs for Centre-ville or Le Vieux Port.
