Located in a quiet neighborhood towards the southern edge of Montparnasse, the Paranjib offers 31 beds in dorm rooms (male, female or mixed). The guest house is run by a Korean family that also lives on-site, so expect both quirky rules (no shoes in the house, 1 a.m. curfew) and unexpected bonuses (free Korean food for dinner!)

This slightly strange set-up has been met with mixed reviews—some find the vibe odd, while others appreciate the personal feel. Just know going in that it will not be a traditional hostel experience.
