A little out of the tourist center (though close to the train station), the Hostel One Prague is nonetheless a polished pick with a friendly staff that draws rave reviews.
Targeted at backpackers weary from travel, the comfortable Hostel One features private doubles and dorms that sleep four to ten guests. Lockers are available and linens are included, though towels must be rented for an extra fee. All bathrooms are ensuite.
The Hostel One features nice common areas, including a guest kitchen, a lounge with TVs and computers and a luggage storage room. Additionally, you can relax and socialize in the hostel's bar and nice backyard garden.
The Hostel One's neighborhood isn't right next to the tourist centers in Stare Mesto and Nove Mesto, but it's not in the boondocks either. Just east of the main train station, it's a 20-minute walk to Wenceslas Square, but the Vinohrady neighborhood, with plenty of neat bars and cafes, is much closer. Additionally, there's a tram stop nearby that can give easy access to all of Prague's sights.
