Milan City Transportation

Milan City TransportationWe describe Milan's subway, tram, and bus system below. Walking is another option, as this city is on the small side.

Walking

Milan is small enough that one can easily walk from the Public Gardens to the Fashion District to the Duomo. Most sights are a 20-minute walk or less away from each other.

Subway, Tram and Bus

The city has an extensive system covering the city and connecting it with the rest of Lombardy. Five lines run on the east side of town southeast to northwest. Both the M1 and M3 lines stop at the Duomo.
