Walking

Madrid is quite an expansive city. It's fun to walk around. However, sights can be far away from each other, making public transport a must.

Metro

The Madrid metro is one of the largest networks in the world, efficiently serving four million Spaniards. It's reliable, easy to use and spread out all over the city. The bus is great for seeing the city and is also ideal for getting to the outskirts of Madrid and traveling across the city. Bus and metro tickets can be used interchangeably.
