Another fun, artsy spot in Montmartre is the Woodstock Hostel. Priding itself on being a cool place, the Woodstock is in the same neighborhood that Salvadore Dali and Picasso called home. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars close by, but make sure you're back by the 2 AM curfew. Special feature: Foosball!

The hostel looks very nice and cheerful in the foyer and just outside. Has a nice common area, and is in a beautiful location just below the sacre coeur. However, this puts it right in the moulin rouge sex district, so going out at night in this part of town can be a bit tricky. The staff was a little grumpy, and the rooms were average. The best part of the rooms were that each room had its own sink and mirror, the worst part was that since theres no air conditioning we slept with the windows open, and it was very loud at night.
