  • You better decide if you want the top or bottom bunk before checking into Amsterdam Hotel Cosmos. Situated in the famous Red Light District, just a five-minute walk to Central Station, the Hotel Cosmos has a friendly atmosphere that is perfect for younger travelers (not above 35).

Amsterdam Hostel Cosmos is a small friendly hostel located in the city centre of Amsterdam. It's close to Central Station and to all major tourist attractions, the world-famous Dam Square, Red light district, Anne Frank House, Rembrandsplein.

Amsterdam Hostel Cosmos has no lock out or curfew, so you can hang out and enjoy Amsterdam in your own time.

The friendly atmosphere and generous hospitality have drawn guests back to our hostel over and over again.

Our hostel is also the permanent residence of Simba, the house cat. Any guest who may be allergic to cats should be mindful of this before booking their stay with us here at Amsterdam Hostel Cosmos .

To preserve and maintain our laid-back & smooth atmosphere we do not allow: Persons under 18 years of age or above 35, pets, any bookings of stag nights, hen nights or sport tours, soccer fans for (inter)national matches and large groups of males ( 6 persons or more). Read the above carefully because in the event of a false booking, there will be no check in nor will there be a refund.

All the rooms have central heating and a wash basin. All the rooms also have TV access.

We also offer a wake up service if required.

Our staff consist of young, dynamic and friendly people.

Prices do not include the 5% city tax and cancellation must occur 72 hours before the check-in date.
The deposit is paid online through Hostelworld and the balance is paid on arrival. We accept cash payment only on arrival.
Upon arrival you will be asked to pay the full amount for the whole duration of your stay.

In case of a No-show, your credit card is charged for the 1st night of your stay, the rest of that booking will be cancelled.

We do not accept group bookings of 7 people or more.
We have an age restriction, only 18 to 35 year olds permitted
We accept cash only for payment on arrival
THERE IS A MINIMUM 2 NIGHT STAY AT THE WEEKEND - FRI/SAT/SUN

Directions

From the airport take a train to Central Station:

Walk out of the station and walk over to the Victoria hotel. When you are facing the Victoria hotel, you turn right and you go into the second street on the left named 'Martelaars Gracht'. Keep walking down that street. After passing 8 alley's (small streets) on you left hand you will see our street that's called the 'Nieuwe Nieuwstraat' go in this alley you are now in the 'Nieuwe Nieuwstraat', you will find us at number 17.




By tram (metro) A single ticket costs you ? 1.60

When you get to CS, you walk outside the station and you will find trams. The following trams will take you straight to the hostel: tramline 1, 2, 5, 13 and 17
The stop is called ` Nieuwezijds Kolk' You have to cross the street and walk toward Hotel Sofitel the Nieuwe Nieuwstraat is between Hotel Sofitel and Japanese Restaurant Kobe.we are Nieuwe Nieuwstraat 17


Trains between Schiphol and Central Station depart about every 10 minutes between 6am and 1am, and once every hour between 1am and 6am.
A one way ticket will cost you
? 3.20 from a vending machine, you will need some coins though.
Trains to Amsterdam Central Station generally depart from platform 1 or 2. On www.ns.nl you can find all information on travel times and prices in English.
