Centrally located just north of Rome’s Termini station, the Hostel Lella is a good, reasonably priced base from which to explore the Eternal City. The busy Corso Italia is just a few blocks away.

Dorm spaces have three to four beds each and offer shared bathrooms. Linens, blankets and a regular cleaning service are included in the price of a bunk. Private rooms either have a shared or en suite bathroom. Breakfast is included in some nightly rates (private rooms only).

The hostel has 24-hour security surveillance and reception is open at all times. Internet access and luggage storage are available. Credit cards not accepted; payment is cash only.

we were only there for a night, they were very accommodating, but there were ants crawling out all around the bathroom which was gross.

Hostel Lella was amazing. This was the best hostel in Italy, we even got breakfast!! The staff was very helpful with showing us where to go and which paths to take as to see everything worth while. Very recommended.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Very convenient location, clean rooms, no curfew. There was a slight problem in that there was no room for us on the first night, despite having booked well in advance but a night in another hostel had been arranged for us and the staff were very apologetic, giving us the taxi fair to the other hostel even though it wasn't far, and we were given a better room to make up for the inconvenience. Overall, really good :) :) :)

The area north of Rome’s Termini Station is by no means the most charming part of the city. However, it is packed with affordable, and often charming, hotels. Walk west to reach the Piazza della Republica.
