  • Right in the heart of the Red Light District you will find The Flying Pig Downtown Hostel. Located on one of the district's busiest shopping streets, the Flying Pig Hostel is bomber than the district's greenery. In addition to free wireless Internet, shuttles, key card access, and a guest kitchen, local Deejays spin twice a week in the hostel. Saturday is open turntable night, so if you're feeling like Funkmaster Flex, step right up.

  • This is a great hostel if you're into the party/drug scene in Amsterdam, and a okay/good one if you're just into seeing the sights. Everyone is very friendly, they have a room for smoking, you can get smoker's tour books, they have a bar downstairs, that kind of thing. However, if you're above the age of 22-23 and/or aren't really into the whole party scene, this might not be the best place. The smell of pot pretty much permeates the place, but the location is excellent and the staff is really nice. Oh, and the beds aren't half bad, and everything is very clean.
